Demon is a visually captivating project, directed by Billy Pols, that centers around the dynamic dance performance of Edgar Tauhid, who is showcased in a series of dynamic and contrasting scenes. The core challenge of this project was to take raw sounds — such as ambient noises, movement sounds, and environmental elements—and transform them into abstract, atmospheric soundscapes. This process involved reimagining the audio experience, adding, distorting and manipulating sounds to create a surreal and otherworldly sonic environment. The goal was to amplify the emotional and dynamic intensity of the visuals, using sound not just as a background element, but as a key player in building tension and guiding the viewer's emotional journey. The resulting sonic world is both unsettling and immersive, enhancing the sense of unease and anticipation throughout the work.
